Professional social network LinkedIn has purchased IndexTank, a company that provides search technology for websites and web services. IndexTank develops and provides a range of custom search options for companies to integrate into their platform without having to maintain the search software themselves. LinkedIn’s purchase of the company will improve the social network’s internal search technology.
